Our volunteers are smart and passionate, fun and tireless, giving and successful. And they know that their actions have the potential to make a huge difference in their Gulf Coast community -- now and in the future --
by helping educate, enlighten and empower our region to adopt an approach to building that is both ecologically and economically sustainable.
It’s through the work of our volunteers on various committees at our three Branches that our Chapter's education and advocacy efforts flourish.
Volunteer activities range from creating our monthly educational programs and instructive tours of green facilities to building our social networking vehicles ... from organizing our green gatherings to helping municipalities and school districts with their green initiatives. Our volunteers have educated local government officials and CEOs about sustainability, brought in high-profile speakers for important conferences, celebrated the holidays together, worked with children and educators to teach green principles, sponsored study sessions for eager students ... and much more.
If you are interested in volunteering with the Chapter, please contact our Executive Director. Because of the ever-shrinking world we live in, as well as the broad geographic spread of our Branches, one doesn't even necessarily need to leave the house to contribute in a positive manner as a volunteer.
